About once a year, most of us have birthdays. 

And some of us have parties.

This year Rosemary, a good friend of this blog, had a tea-party.

Which got off to a great start with the creation of... 

Frogs! 

Whether the girls are creating frogs or the frogs are creating girls, I am not quite sure. 

Either way,  let the games begin!

World of Frogs: Malaysia

There is a Malaysian proverb: Seperti katak di bawah tempurung -- Like frog underneath coconut shell.

Apparently it means that a frog which lives under a cocunut shell will think that the shell is the world and is ignorant of the bigger picture.

I prefer the following frog / coconut scenario.

Truffled Frog

Sometimes Frog is woefully misguided.

That's not a brain.

That's a cross section of truffle.

And the connection between frogs and truffles does not end there.  No, no.  Right in our own Canberran backyard there are BLUE FROG TRUFFLES. Yay!

With all these zombies about Frog is hardly surprised when he stumbles upon a cross section of brain (although he does wonder who was careless enough the leve such a thing lying about).

Zombie Frog

Sooner or later it had to happen.

I had to put the words "Zombie" and "Frog" into Google.

I like the outcome.

Here we go again

Gallant Frog has come to the rescue again, pushing the little blue frog and his boat out of the whirlpool (and certain death).

But although they reach calmer waters Gallant Frog spots a problem.  The tiny bark cannot hold them both.  Already they are taking water.

And so she points the small blue frog in the direction of land, takes a deep breath, and pushes back from the little boat.

In a few moments she is clear of the boat and on her way.

Swimming to the next adventure.

Wherever it my be.
