Space frogs

Frog is a bit excited after his encounter with the Spaceman.

He is keen to find out more about the Universe and how to get around it.

He heads to Tidbinbilla - to the Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex.

(Where do you go if you want to communicate in shallow spaces?)

But antennas being what they are (sensitive souls, apparently), you have to turn off your phone/camera before you go in.

So Frog had to reconstruct the experience at home using post cards.

But the effect is quite realistic, don't you think?

The scale of the antennas is quite impressive. Set in the middle of a cow paddock too.

Who turned out the light?

A little accident at the cafe.... No use crying over spilt milk.

What do you do when you see a space, man?

(or should that be Frog?)

PS - the answer to the joke is, of course, "park in it, man".

It's just not cricket. Or is it?

An unsuspecting Frog finds herself suddenly involved in a game of with cricket.

It's a little tricky to work out the rules.

 

Frog-Cricket seems to involve playing Chicken.

(That's a long way down)

There's a bit of shoving...

A bit of pulling...

And a desperate cry for help as the Cricket realises the danger...

And then suddenly it's all over. With Frog left exhausted. And a bit on edge.

Frog love. Again.

We know about frog weddings.  Or half frog weddings.

Turns out that frog-to-frog is quite popular too.

Cute, huh?

Canberra in Spring continued

It's dark, so it's hard to spot a frog.

But I'm sure they were there at the Canberra Nara Candle Festival.

After all - frogs and candles are spiritually at one.

Is a frog necessary on a bicycle?

Full of the joys of spring, Frog decides to go for a ride.

But on these modern day bikes there are so many things to think about.

Is the seat the right ?

 Handle bars correctly adjusted?

Tyre pressure OK?

Good.

Time to hop on the pedals then...

If its good enough for Her Maj....

Its good enough for frogs.

 

Just like good Queen Bess (the second), the frogs go mad for Floriade.
