Pour quoi frog?

Why frogs? Well, why not. These frogs are for Darcy, who has been in isolation in The Sydney Children's Hospital. If you want to follow Darcy's progress check out the journal updates here: www.caringbridge.org/visit/darcygilmour10/journal

If you want to make a frog you can find instructions at: http://www.savethefrogs.com/teachers/images/Origami-Jumping-Frog.pdf .

If frogs are beyond you, you can also give blood. Details of how available from the Australian Red Cross Blood Service.

Advent Frogs

Just quietly, Christmas is coming.

There are a few reminders of the approaching festive season.  Just possibly you may have seen decorations in stores. Or heard Christmas songs on the radio or in shopping malls. Or seen friends and relatives frantically making lists.

The Frogs, as is proper, start their preparations at the beginning of advent (which was actually last Sunday but let's not get too fussy here).  And like an advent calendar, they do a new thing everyday.

Today, they start by unpacking some of the Christmas decorations.

And pushing them back into shape.

(Did you know purple is a traditional advent colour?)
