Pour quoi frog?

Why frogs? Well, why not. These frogs are for Darcy, who has been in isolation in The Sydney Children's Hospital. If you want to follow Darcy's progress check out the journal updates here: www.caringbridge.org/visit/darcygilmour10/journal

If you want to make a frog you can find instructions at: http://www.savethefrogs.com/teachers/images/Origami-Jumping-Frog.pdf .

If frogs are beyond you, you can also give blood. Details of how available from the Australian Red Cross Blood Service.

Unto us a child is born

No.  Not Jesus (not for another week and a day anyway).

But Darcy. Version II.

Today is the anniversary of Darcy's bone marrow transplant in which he received some new DNA that has been busily working away within his body over the last year to make all sorts of things that many of us take for granted.

Platelets.
Red blood cells.
White blood cells.
And other blood products with far more complex names.

Happy birthday Darcy version II.

What better way to celebrate than with a Frog on your head?
